The Toolkit

WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S IN MY AUTHOR'S TOOLKIT? WHAT I USE TO MAKE WRITING BOOKS AND RUNNING THE BUSINESS SIDE EVEN EASIER? IT'S TIME TO DIG INTO THE TOOLKIT!

The Dynamic Duo

Trello

Trello is an all in one organization tool that lets you work more streamlined and get more done. It's where I plot, outline, and track my novel progress as well as plan my book launches and social media strategy. You can get access to Trello 4 Authors, where you can copy and paste my entire system below!

G Suite

For all your file needs! I write my manuscripts and do beta reads in Google Docs, store my files and photos inside Google Drive, use Gmail for my work email, create forms with Google Forms, schedule #allthethings inside Google Calendar, and more.

Tools For Writing

Grammarly

An online grammar checker for all your online writing needs. They even have a handy free Chrome extension that will grammar check your writing anywhere you type in the browser - even Facebook!

Evernote

Evernote makes author life more manageable by letting you easily collect and find everything you can think of. From novel notes and to-do lists to photos and research snapshots.

ProWritingAid

Going beyond grammar, ProWritingAid is my go-to editing tool. This tool analyzes your text and highlights a variety of key writing issues, such as overused words, sentence structure, punctuation issues, repeated phrases, consistency, dialogue, pacing and readability.

Reedsy

Reedsy is an online market place that helps connect authors with editors, cover designers, and more! They also offer many free tools - like a book editor to convert your manuscript into an ebook, writing contests, and name generators.

Tools For Your Author website

SiteGround Hosting

My favorite (and affordable) website hosting company. And, they have amazing customer service!

WordPress.org

The self-hosted version of Wordpress.

Thrive Themes

Thrive Themes is my favorte collection of themes and plug-ins. All of my websites are built on their themes and the Thrive Architect page builder. They offer an annual membership where you can get all of their themes and plug ins - all of them are top notch.

Divi Theme by Elegant Themes

A slighly less expensive alternative to Thrive Themes, the Divi theme and drag and drop page builder can be a good option for beginners who have no web design experience. It's what I used when I first began. The downside is, you can't purchase Divi by itself, you must joint Elegant Theme's annual membership
